Breivik: My Actions Were 'Entirely Logical'

Anders Behring Breivik made his case that he is sane in court today, decrying the report that declared him crazy as a "lie." Breivik said that the psychiatrists who first examined him didn't understand that he'd purposely suppressed his emotions to carry out the attack, the BBC reports. "It is not me who is described in that report," he told the court. "Everything I presented was entirely logical. I don't see the slightest possibility I will be judged insane."

It may seem counterintuitive (or even, dare we say it, crazy), but Breivik is desperate to avoid being sent to a mental hospital instead of prison—something he's described as a fate worse than death. The judge panel will rule on his sanity as part of their final verdict. Today also saw testimony from people injured by the bombs Breivik set in Oslo.
