Last night on Piers Morgan’s show, Jon Lovitz made it clear he has no intention of backing down from his recent rant against President Obama. “Yes, I did mean what I said,” said Lovitz, referring to his comments that Obama’s claim that “the rich don't pay their taxes is f---ing bullshit.” There is no “1% versus the 99%,” Lovitz said last night, according to Politico and Mediaite. “There’s nobody that’s wealthy saying, ‘Let’s go get the people that aren’t.’ … He’s creating a false class warfare.”

Lovitz gave quite a lengthy explanation of why the idea that the rich aren’t paying their “fair share” is not true. “Don’t tell me I’m not paying my fair share when, between federal, state, property tax, FICA, and everything, I’m paying at least 50%,” he added. As for Wall Street, he places some of the blame for the housing crisis there, but he also noted, “Some people they got housing loans, I think they’re responsible for taking a loan they didn’t qualify for.” (More Jon Lovitz stories.)
