A new reality show premiering on Lifetime will center on the late Whitney Houston's family and friends, reports the Los Angeles Times. The Houston Family Chronicles will star “those closest to the pop music icon as they try to pick up the pieces after her untimely death,” according to a statement from Lifetime. Houston died three months ago at age 48.
At least 10 hour-long episodes will follow Whitney’s manager and sister-in-law, Pat Houston; Whitney's brother Gary; and the couple’s teenage daughter, Rayah. Houston's own daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and her mother, Cissy Houston, also will appear. The show could prove controversial with fans, although Pat Houston released a statement saying the series was in development before Whitney's death.
