To hear Neil Munro tell it, he was simply a victim of bad timing in his rush to question a wily president: The Daily Caller reporter took to the semi-sympathetic airwaves of Sean Hannity's Fox show last night to rehash his interruption of the president, reports Mediaite. "The only way to ask the questions was get him at the end just before he dashes back to the Oval Office, and, yes, I mistimed it," Munro admitted. "I thought I was getting him at the end. Frankly, I was wrong about that." But for all the brouhaha, Munro complained, Obama didn't even answer the question.
Hannity and Munro then rehashed Sam Donaldson's questioning of President Reagan, with Munro defending the latter as at least willing to answer questions, while Obama just "turns his back on the American people." Hannity then played a "best of" montage of softball questions the fawning "Obamania media" had lobbed at the president, asking Munro if Obama is getting a free pass. "Yes, clearly, and for a variety of reasons that are hard to correct," Munro responded. "But we at The Daily Caller will not try to be easy on him and try not to be easy on the next president. We’ve got to do our job." (More Neil stories.)
