Remember how Katie Holmes was still saying "I love you" to Tom Cruise days before filing for divorce? Well, they were also still having dinner together less than two weeks before the divorce, and TMZ has a picture from the final meal they shared on June 16. Neither of them look very happy in the photo, taken in Iceland where Tom was filming—in fact, TMZ notes, "the writing was on the wall" based on the picture. (Click to see the photo.)
The gossip site also reports that Katie didn't leave Tom over Scientology after all, and her camp is simply spinning that story—although the ever-so-helpful Cruise sources behind the leak won't say the real reason for the split. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that Cruise was so controlling, as other sources tell TMZ. He reportedly made all Holmes' decisions for her, and had been doing so since before they were even married. One says he wouldn't allow her to fly with the rest of the cast while filming Batman Begins—a move that "disgusted" co-star Morgan Freeman. (More Tom Cruise stories.)
