Yankees to Reggie Jackson: 'Stay Away' From Team

Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson has been told to "stay away" from the New York Yankees after he ripped Alex Rodriguez for steroid use in a recent interview, reports the New York Daily News. "There is no ban. There is no suspension," Jackson said last night, but confirmed that he had been asked to keep out of the clubhouse. "I didn’t want to be a disruption." Team officials, however, said they thought Jackson's comments were inappropriate and the keep-away order was in fact a punishment. Jackson told Sports Illustrated last week that Rodriguez's admitted steroid use "does cloud" his legacy, upsetting Rodriguez and other players. “With friends like that, who needs enemies?” asked Rodriguez.
