Cop Accused of Selling Station's Guns on Street

An NYPD officer was arrested last night after allegedly stealing his coworkers' guns and selling them on the street, the New York Post reports. Six-year force veteran Nicholas Mina, 31, allegedly broke into fellow officers' lockers to steal four 9mm firearms. Other items, including cash, an iPad, and bulletproof vests, also went missing from the locker room. The thefts began in February, and ended only after extra security was put in place.

The NYPD Firearms Suppression Unit eventually got wind of Mina's alleged gun sales—though he hadn't told his customers he was a cop. Internal Affairs launched an investigation, and last night raided the locker room, kicking all the cops out of it. They arrested Mina and three alleged civilian accomplices. (More NYPD stories.)
