Why is Jennifer Lopez leaving American Idol? The reason may surprise you: She and Steven Tyler "had magic," Lopez said in a recent ABC News interview. "I don't know, with him gone, it might be a different formula." Tyler announced his departure from the reality show first, and Lopez—who became a judge last year, at the same time as Tyler—soon followed. But is she really out? In the ABC interview she seems to leave the possibility of a future collaboration open, noting, "I love them and they love me and it’s hard when I feel like I should move on.
