Bristol Palin would like to clear something up: Yes, her 3-year-old son is a pottymouth, but he's not a homophobic one. A recently released clip from her reality show appears to show her son calling his aunt, Bristol's sister Willow, a "f****t." (Willow herself is no stranger to the term.) But Tripp actually said "f**k," not the other F-word, a Life's a Tripp showrunner explains to Gawker. The showrunner says he was in the room during the incident and reviewed the footage a number of times to confirm the word that got bleeped out.

Now Bristol herself has weighed in as well, Jezebel notes: "As I've said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp. However, he does NOT use slurs," she says. "I'm not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different 'f word.' [But] I do oppose gay marriage, as I've written about before ... I guess the temptation to label my three year old son is just too great for the lefty papers to resist." In the clip, the toddler was upset because he was being denied an opportunity to go swimming, the Huffington Post notes. Despite threats to put him in time-out or wash his mouth out with soap, ultimately Bristol and Willow responded to his outburst by giggling uproariously. (More Tripp Johnston stories.)
