Spencer Green) (Associated Press) Hillary Clinton says she wants a probe into the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, blasting current Pakistani President Musharraf and, by extension, US support for his regime. "I don't think the Pakistani government at this time under President Musharraf has any credibility at all," the Democratic presidential candidate said today in Iowa. "I am calling for a full independent international investigation." Bhutto's assassination brings foreign policy into a spotlight growing brighter ahead of Thursday's caucuses. Clinton and fellow Democrats Barack Obama and John Edwards have criticized Musharraf's failure to combat militants, Reuters reports. Republican Fred Thompson had a different spin: "I hope that we as candidates … don't start lobbing these ideas that get plenty of attention but are not very sound."
