Trayvon Martin's mother has requested money from a state fund that helps crime victims, the AP reports. The Crimes Compensation Trust Fund helps with expenses including funerals, lost wages, medical care, and counseling, but it is not known what expenses Trayvon's family would use the money for, nor how much they are seeking. Sybrina Fulton applied for the compensation benefits for herself and her ex-husband, Tracy Martin, and the Attorney General's Office deemed her eligible in March, but no payout has been made as she has not yet completed the claims paperwork. "She has a big stack of papers at her house," says her attorney. "I'm going to encourage her to fill it out." Compensation can reach $30,000. (More Tracy Martin stories.)
