After gay marriage opponents went to Chick-Fil-A last week, supporters are fighting back—by heading to Starbucks tomorrow. Same-sex wedding magazine Equally Wed thought up the idea, which has 28,000 people committed on Facebook so far. The event's original name was National Starbucks Day, but other holidays have that name, and Starbucks wanted to highlight other pro-gay-marriage companies like Amazon and Nike. Now it's called "National Marriage Equality Day," the Los Angeles Times reports. It's not the first anti-chicken event, either. (More Starbucks stories.)
