Greenland native Jens Møller snagged some incredible video on a recent trip to a glacier, when a huge chunk broke off into the ocean and produced a frighteningly large wave that nearly capsized the boat he was on. Fortunately, Møller's uncle had already started steering the 18-foot boat away from the glacier before the wave hit, Møller tells Our Amazing Planet.
"It got more and more exciting while the wave was getting closer," Møller says. "We didn't realize it was going to be that intense or dangerous a second before." Møller ran inside the cabin when he realized the wave was about to hit the boat; fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. The experience certainly "beats skydiving," Møller says, although "next time I think I would like to be a little farther away from the glacier." (More icebergs stories.)
