Chad Johnson's brief run as a Miami Dolphin is over before it started. Just hours after Johnson was arrested for domestic battery, the Dolphins cut the six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver from their team, reports the Washington Post. VH1 similarly wasted little time in canceling the couple's reality show, Ev and Ocho, which was set to air Sept. 3, reports People.

Johnson was released from jail on a $2,500 bond yesterday after he was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the police report, Johnson and his wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada, were in their car heatedly discussing a condom receipt she found when Johnson became upset and headbutted Lozada, opening up a three-inch gash.
