Hot Fudge Disagreement May Mean Jail Time
The hot fudge belongs on top, right?   (?lemuelinchrist)

A Knoxville man punched a McDonald's employee during an argument over a $1 hot fudge sundae. Now he faces more than $1,000 in fines and up to 364 days in prison, reports the Knoxville News Sentinel. "It had chocolate on the bottom," James Wilson explained to jurors during the trial. "The hot fudge should be on top. It freezes up when you get fudge on the bottom." Wilson was convicted of misdemeanor assault for socking the assistant manager who made his treat.

Wilson claims he threw the fist in self-defense after the employee followed him out of the store and charged at him while using a racial slur. The jury failed to believe Wilson's story—it didn't help that he's twice as big as the employee—and he'll be sentenced next month. (More hot fudge sundae stories.)
