It may not be enough to appease supporters of Ron Paul who think he's getting a raw deal at the convention, but Republicans kicked off night No. 2 with a glowing video tribute to him, reports the Wall Street Journal. Sample quote from Mitch McConnell: “Whether people want to admit it or not, Ron Paul changed the conversation." And from Jim DeMint: “The longer we go and the deeper in debt we get, the more apparent it is that Ron Paul was right."

Chants of "Ron Paul" rang out as the video ended, notes the Huffington Post. And soon afterward, son Rand took the stage to encourage a Mitt Romney victory so the "unconstitutional" ObamaCare can be abolished, reports AP. The last GOP nominee, John McCain, also spoke, with his emphasis on foreign policy, reports Politico. He accused President Obama of "not being true to our values" for failing to back opposition movements in Iran and Syria. The big speaker tonight, though, will be Paul Ryan in the 10pm hour.
