The comeback was capped by Alex Trlica's game-winning 41-yard field goal with 7 seconds left on the clock. QB Graham Harrell broke multiple Gator Bowl records with his 407-yard, 44-for-69 performance. The Raiders saw multiple drives sputter out short of goal, and survived damaging penalties, before finding the end zone twice in the fourth quarter, including a 4-yard return of a costly Virginia turnover that tied proceedings at 28. The Cavaliers were hindered by the loss of Jameel Sewell at the start of that quarter, as the QB suffered a game-ending leg injury.
