A tearful Angelina Jolie told the AP today of her time spent with Syrian refugees at a camp in Jordan, calling their stories "horrific" and "heartbreaking." Jolie visited the Zaatari camp as part of her role with the UN, and hopes her visit will bring more attention—and funding—to the refugees. "The people of Syria are asking who is on their side. 'Who is going to help us as the months go on?'" Jolie said, adding that the refugees fear "there will be no more of us" left as the Syrian uprising continues.
"I am very concerned, the world is very concerned," said Jolie, who will also visit refugees in Lebanon, Turkey, and Iraq. Meanwhile, fiancé Brad Pitt discussed far less weighty concerns with the BBC. Stars can no longer command $10 million-and-higher salaries for movies, Pitt explained: "Yeah, that thing died. That arithmetic doesn't really work right now … that deal's not flying these days. You take the roles for the roles, and you've just got to balance economics like everyone does."
