Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is indeed behind the anti-Muslim film that sparked violence in Egypt, Libya, and Yemen, a US law enforcement official confirms. The AP initially went looking for "Sam Bacile," the supposed creator of the film, and linked that name to Nakoula; Nakoula previously denied he was the same person, and said he managed logistics for the film's production company.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton spoke out today about the film in question, calling it "disgusting and reprehensible" and said it was meant specifically to offend, the AP reports. Even so, she noted, that's no excuse for the attacks on US diplomatic missions. She had earlier denounced the film, but not as harshly. (More Nakoula Basseley Nakoula stories.)
