What's left for an Olympic-gold-medal winner to do but raise hell by getting smashed, break a hotel phone, pull a fire alarm, and fight off the guy who tries to stop him from fleeing? Snowboarder Shaun White allegedly did all this in Nashville early this morning and got himself a black eye in the process, TMZ reports. A citizen tried to stop White from fleeing, got kicked by the athlete, and chased him down until the two collided and White hit his head against a fence.

Reeking of booze and looking darned drunk, police say, 26-year-old White was charged with public intoxication and vandalism. On the bright side, at least he can look back on the fawning media attention he received at the last winter Olympics. Click to see his black-eyed mug shot. (More Shaun White stories.)
