(AP Photo/L'Osservatore Romano) As the trial of Pope Benedict's ex-butler enters its second day, the defendant himself is set to testify. Paolo Gabriele will likely confess to leaking confidential Vatican documents, al-Jazeera reports, since he already admitted guilt to prosecutors during a pretrial hearing. What to watch for at today's session: It remains unclear whether Gabriele will continue to take sole blame for the leaks, "or whether he will reveal whether he was helped by anybody else—as the journalist who received the documents from him has said," says an al-Jazeera reporter. Others to give testimony today will include the Pope's private secretary and one of four nuns employed in his home, the BBC reports—potentially revealing some inside information on household affairs. Get ready for a verdict soon: The chief judge says officials aim to have one by week's end. Read These Next She was born at a McDonald's, so obviously this is her nickname.
