The crazy bidding is over for Lena Dunham's hotly anticipated debut book, and the 26-year-old's deal is with Random House for more than $3.5 million, the New York Times reports. Dunham, the creator and star of HBO's Girls, covers topics including work, friendship, and sex in the essay collection Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned. Random House confirmed the acquisition in a statement today, calling Dunham's voice "fresh, wise, so assured" and comparing her to Helen Gurley Brown, David Sedaris, and Nora Ephron.
