The San Francisco Giants needed extra innings this time, but they beat the Detroit Tigers for the fourth straight game to sweep the World Series. Detroit made a game of it, and even led for the first time all series, but the Giants' Marco Scutaro hit a two-out single in the top of the 10th to knock in the winning run in the 4-3 victory.
