Gail Collins is suddenly and tragically out of a full-time job name-dropping Seamus Romney, so she's turning her attention to America's soon-to-be-out-of-work secretary of State, one Hillary Rodham Clinton. Writing in the New York Times, Collins joins the hordes of Hillary fans wondering if she'll spend her looming unemployment plotting a bid to get a job in the Oval Office. "Oh, I’ve ruled it out, but you know me," says Clinton. "Everybody keeps asking me. So I keep ruling it out and being asked."

So what is she going to do with herself? “I just want to sleep and exercise and travel for fun," Clinton responds. "And relax. It sounds so ordinary, but I haven’t done it for 20 years. I would like to see whether I can get untired." And watch TV, of which Love It Or List It is a fave. "I find it calming," she tells Collins. And if Hillary's watching television for the next year, at least that deep-sixes Democrats' 2016 speculation, which Collins says "would be a signal service to the American public, which needs an election break." And maybe she'll find a more glamorous calling than the West Wing anyway: "Maybe I’ll get a decorating show," Clinton muses. Click for Collins' full love letter. (More Hillary Clinton stories.)
