Spain Temporarily Halts Evictions for 'Most Vulnerable'

Spain, where an estimated 350,000 families have lost their homes since the country's financial crisis began in 2008, will halt evictions for the most vulnerable for the next two years, the Spanish banking association AEB announced. It's not clear how the "most vulnerable" will be identified, the BBC reports, but over the past month, two people in Spain facing eviction committed suicide. Also today, the Spanish government is discussing new eviction regulations with the opposition. (More Spain stories.)
