Rod Blagojevich's latest promotion isn't quite on the level of his last gig, but at least he's no longer washing dishes in his low-security prison, Politico reports. Now, instead of spending six days a week in the kitchen, he's working among the books in the prison library, says his former defense attorney. Blago has made a project of reading up on US presidents while doing time, attorney Sam Adam Jr. says. "He and my father"—another defense lawyer—"now are studying Ulysses S. Grant. He sends presidential books every month," Adam says. "Blago is the son my father never had. He’s the intellectual." Adam adds that he believes Blagojevich is poised to win an upcoming appeal.
