A Massachusetts woman and her friend might be out of jobs because of a Facebook post from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington. In the photo, Lindsey Stone poses next to a sign asking for "silence and respect" and pretends to shout while flipping off the tomb. The image came down but not before it went viral, prompting the employer of Stone and pal Jamie Schuh (they work for a facility that provides care for disabled adults) to place them on unpaid leave for now, reports CBS Boston.

After Stone started getting some serious online hate—there's even a Facebook page devoted to getting her fired—she wrote: "Whoa whoa whoa... wait. This is just us, being the douchebags that we are, challenging authority in general. Much like the pic posted the night before, of me smoking right next to a no smoking sign. OBVIOUSLY we meant NO disrespect to people that serve or have served our country." But that hasn't stopped the groundswell, prompting Neetzan Zimmerman at Gawker to ponder, "Does Lindsey Stone deserve to have her future employment imperiled ... because of an admittedly dumb photo posted in jest on her personal Facebook page?"
