Ecuador's ambassador to Britain says WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is suffering from a chronic lung condition that "could get worse at any time," reports the Guardian. She didn't offer more specifics, but said her government is picking up the treatment costs. Assange has been seeking refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy in London since June and fears immediate arrest and extradition should he step outside. On Tuesday, Assange told reporters that life in the embassy has been "difficult in many ways." He reportedly eats mostly takeout food and uses a vitamin D lamp to make up for lack of sunlight, says the Guardian. (More Julian Assange stories.)
