Nicole Richie Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Wild child Nicole Richie gave birth to a child of her own yesterday, People reports, as she and Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden welcomed a baby girl into the world in a Los Angeles hospital. Just down the hall, Christina Aguilera, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and David Allen Grier’s wife were all having babies of their own in a day of celebrity births.

Aguilera and Richie gave birth almost simultaneously, E! reports. It’s the first baby for Aguilera and her husband. Richie and Madden aren’t married yet, but according to Paris Hilton, the pair is planning a “really huge” wedding by year’s end. Richie says motherhood will change her ways. “I owe this baby everything,” she said. “I have to set the right examples.”
