Alec Baldwin's Wife Hit With 'Yoga Injury' Suit

A Yale student is suing Alec Baldwin's wife over a (possibly horrific) injury he claims to have sustained in one of her yoga classes. Gawker initially pokes fun at Spencer Wolff for his lawsuit against Hilaria Thomas, which alleges he was hurt while performing "a dangerous activity at a wall." The report even needles Wolff over his online novel, described in its online abstract as "part comédie humaine ... part epic tale of hope and perseverance ... also a personal meditation on surviving trauma."

But one description of the injury is none too pretty. According to nyc1234—a commenter on the story and apparent friend of Wolff's—the student was doing a handstand in a crowded Manhattan classroom when he was thrown off-balance: "Instead of crashing into the person in front of him he went to the side to avoid hitting anyone, his leg went through the window which was not safety glass, it shattered and he impaled his leg on a huge shard of glass, slicing through the muscle to the bone in a number of places." (Thomas married Baldwin last summer; the actor allegedly socked a photographer three weeks later when picking up their marriage license.)
