Angry Woman Bites Off Boyfriend's Tongue
Elaine Cook.   (Cook County Sheriff's Dept.)

Who knew make-up kissing could be so dangerous? An Illinois man who tried to appease his angry girlfriend with a kiss got half his tongue bitten off in return, Gawker reports. Prosecutors say Elaine Cook, 51, had an argument with her 47-year-old boyfriend after they came home from a Valentine's Day date. When she asked him to leave, he tried to make nice with a little lip-lock.

"He told her they should stop fighting and went to kiss her, and she bit off a large portion of his tongue," said an assistant state DA. The man, as yet unidentified, ran for the sink with Cook at his heels. When she threw his tongue on the counter, he put it in a bag with ice and called 911. Sadly, doctors couldn't reattach it, but sources say he can still speak. (More tongue stories.)
