Liz Cheney unloads on President Obama in today's Wall Street Journal, calling him "the most radical man ever to occupy the Oval Office." She ticks off a laundry list of complaints, from the national debt, to ObamaCare, to gun rights, to his belief in "redistribution of a much smaller pie," and concludes that he's destroying the country. "In the face of this reality, it is time for Republicans to get over their loss in 2012," she writes. "We are all that stands between this president's policies and a damaged and diminished America. It is time to get back in the fight."

Cheney dismisses those who think the GOP should move left, which would result only in a "watered-down version of the Democrats." In fact, conservatives must get more aggressive at blocking the president's policies at every turn. That's not "obstructionism," she argues. "It is patriotism." All of which is a marvel to Jonathan Chait at Daily Intel. "Even after four years of bug-eyed right-wing paranoia, Cheney’s op-ed stands out for its utter dearth of the slightest whiff of perspective or factual grounding," he writes.
