Kim Kardashian may never get her hands on an Academy Award, but the New York Daily News predicts she will win a Razzie. She has a small part in Tyler Perry's Temptation, which opened Friday to not-so-rave reviews (Rotten Tomatoes score: 16%), and many reviewers are singling out Kardashian for particularly harsh criticism:

  • In the New York Times, Andy Webster calls her "grating," tone-deaf," and "entertaining for all the wrong reasons."
  • Nathan Rabin seems to agree, noting on AV Club that Kardashian's "hilariously stiff performance" is "the film's inexplicable comic relief." She delivers lines like she's "a sex robot attempting human speech for the first time."
  • Indeed, Kardashian apparently "saved her real acting talents for her sex tape," as her "monotonous line readings" prove, writes Frank Scheck in the Hollywood Reporter.
  • In the New York Daily News, Miriam Bale bemoans Kardashian's "Kabuki mask of thick make-up."

  • And on The Wrap, Alonso Duralde notes that she is "as nasal and awful an actress as you might imagine."
  • This is not so much acting as "vainly trying to act," writes Nick Schager in TimeOut New York.
  • Her most impressive talent is the complete "inability to inject the slightest bit of emotion" into her lines, writes Jenni Miller on Hollywood.com.
  • On MovieFanatic.com, Joel D. Amos echoes that assessment: "Let's just say that the question of whether the celebrity gossip maven can act is answered within 60 seconds of her cold absence of any feeling performance."
  • "It is perhaps ironic that someone so famous for her curves could deliver her lines so flatly," declares Peter Sobczynski on Roger Ebert's website.
Interested in what those lines were? Vulture has rounded all of them up; they include such gems as "Oh. My. God! You're wearing flats?" (More Razzies stories.)
