Iconic Bombing Victim: Suspect 'Looked Right at Me'

A wild revelation from the brother of Jeff Bauman, who was captured in a now-iconic photo in the wake of the bombing: After having both legs amputated and while still under heavy sedation, brother Chris says Bauman "asked for a paper and pen and wrote, 'bag, saw the guy, looked right at me.'" As Bloomberg reports, just two and a half minutes before Bauman's legs were blown off, he looked right at one of the bombers and saw him dropping off a bag, according to his brother.

Bauman reportedly gave the FBI a detailed description of the man, even while he was still in intensive care—a description that Chris says helped investigators hone their search as they reviewed video footage.
