First, Chick-fil-A flapped its way into the gay marriage debate, and now the fast-food giant is again throwing down—this time with a Vermont artist who makes "Eat More Kale" T-shirts. Chick-fil-A contends that the slogan, though spelled correctly, is too close to its own “Eat Mor Chikin” campaign, and has asked Bo Muller-Moore to cut it out. Muller-Moore had responded by seeking his own trademark, the AP reports, which was given a "preliminary no" yesterday by the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Muller-Moore now has six months to appeal the decision, which, he says, could "be a nail in the coffin for 'Eat More Kale.'" For now, though, Muller-Moore reports that all the ruffled feathers at Chick-fil-A have been good for business: He's attracted no shortage of fans—including Vermont's governor—who want to see him pull off an upset.
