Paul Kevin Curtis, the eccentric celebrity impersonator previously suspected of sending ricin-laced letters to President Obama, appeared on CNN's Piers Morgan Live yesterday, shortly after being released from seven days in prison. "I heard the word 'ricin' for the first time in my life by a federal agent Homeland Security while being interrogated for four hours," Curtis told Morgan. "I thought he said 'rice.' I said I don't even eat rice usually. You know, I'm not even a rice lover." Morgan tweeted that the interview was the "weirdest of [his] life."

"Christy McCoy, my attorney, was amazing," said Curtis. "In the jungle of law and court, you have monkeys, you have kangaroos, and you have lions. She was the lion queen." Curtis told Morgan he believed he was framed by an acquaintance—identified by the AP as martial arts instructor J. Everett Dutschke—who "has it out for [him]," though he wasn't sure why. "I'm a sort of up-in-your-face guy, but I'm quiet and reserved on the one hand, but I'm an entertainer on the other," he speculated. Authorities searched Dutschke's home yesterday, but no charges have been filed against him. Click to watch the full video of Morgan's interview with Curtis at CNN. (More Paul Kevin Curtis stories.)
