The chief medical examiner's office in Massachusetts is ready to release the body of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his family will be claiming it, not his widow. A lawyer for Katherine Russell says she wants the body of the Boston Marathon suspect released to his family, who have agreed to take it. "Of course, family members will take possession of the body," uncle Ruslan Tsarni, a Maryland resident, tells the AP. "We'll do it. We will do it. A family is a family."

Tsarnaev died after a gunfight with authorities and while no cause of death has been released yet, there have been suggestions that he received fatal injuries when younger brother Dzhokhar ran him over as he fled the scene. Russell's lawyer says she has met with investigators "for many hours" and will continue cooperating. "Katherine and her family continue to be deeply saddened by the harm that has been caused," he says. (More Tamerlan Tsarnaev stories.)
