Penn State pushed Indiana as best it could, leading 52-51 at one point in the second half, but the stronger Hoosiers compiled a 27-6 run to put away the Nittany Lions 81-65. Ninth-ranked Indiana, now 16-1, won its 12th consecutive game for the first time since the well-chronicled Bobby Knight era. Eric Gordon led the Hoosiers with 25 points.

The Nittany Lions, who lost leading scorer and rebounder Geary Claxton to a season-ending injury Tuesday, were led by Talor Battle with 20 points but remained winless all-time at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson liked his group of guys on the floor as he made no substitutions in the second half. D.J. White netted 22 for IU.
