Nelson Mandela is "recovering well" after his hospital admission more than a week ago, says his grandson. The former leader "looked good" to Mandla Mandela, the BBC reports. "It gave us hope that he is going to recover soon," the younger Mandela said at a cousin's funeral, whose attendees prayed for the ex-president, AFP reports. "We would like to assure you of our prayers for the icon, for the father of this nation," said the priest. South African officials have revealed mixed information on Mandela's health, with President Jacob Zuma saying on Thursday that the former leader was improving but his condition "remains serious."
