Huma Abedin didn't just stand by husband Anthony Weiner's side today as he fessed up to sexting even after his resignation from Congress—she personally defended him as he announced he was staying in the race for New York City mayor. “Anthony’s made some horrible mistakes, both before he resigned from Congress and after,” she said, as per the Epoch Times. But “I love him. I have forgiven him. I believe in him, and, as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward." She added that their marriage has survived thanks to a "whole lot of work and a whole lot of therapy," reports the National Review.
As for Weiner, he confirmed in the press conference that the raunchy texts which surfaced today were his, although that was never in much doubt, thanks to his dropping of details about things like his family's one-eyed cat, notes the New York Post. And he said he had no intention of leaving the mayoral race, reports AP. "This is entirely behind me," he said.
