This is not the kind of bar most teenagers are interested in getting access to: Gabrielle Turnquest, an 18-year-old from Florida, has become the youngest person ever to be called to the bar in England and Wales. Turnquest got her undergraduate degree at Liberty University in Virginia at age 16, received her graduate diploma in law at age 17, and just passed the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of Law in England, reports the Lawyer. The average course graduate is 27.

"I am honored to be the youngest person to pass the Bar exams but, really, I was not aware at the time what the average age was," she says, per the Telegraph. “I didn’t fully realize the impact of it.” But Turnquest doesn't actually want to practice law in the UK (she did the course alongside her 22-year-old sister). She plans to return to the US to take the multistate bar exam, then do another degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in an effort to eventually specialize in fashion law.
