Sounds like Brandy had a rather embarrassing Saturday. The singer gave a surprise performance at Mandela Sports and Culture Day in South Africa—but since no one knew she was slated to appear, most of the audience had already left the stadium before she came onstage, the Guardian reports. According to a South African musician, she ended up performing to "maybe 40 people." (There was room: The arena holds 90,000.)

He continues: "Brandy performed to an empty stadium. With the stadium lights on. She sulked after two songs and walked off." Other self-proclaimed witnesses corroborated his account. Tens of thousands had filled the stadium earlier for football and rugby games and other musical performances. Adding insult to injury: South Africa's national TV channel ended its broadcast of the event before Brandy's performance. (More Brandy Norwood stories.)
