Another teen has been arrested following the beating death of Delbert Belton, an 88-year-old World War II veteran, in Spokane, Wash. Both Kenan Adams-Kinard and a suspect arrested earlier are 16; Adams-Kinard's name was released despite his age because, according to officials, "he represents ... an actual danger to the community." CNN is calling the attack a "botched robbery," and authorities say race had nothing to do with it.

But the Los Angeles Times reports that the beating has prompted a wave of anger via social media, with many users seeing race playing a role. Actor James Woods, for instance, posted an article by Janna Brock on the mainstream media ignoring the "terror of black-on-white crime" apparently illustrated by Belton's death. Others linked the attack to Trayvon Martin and President Obama. "Did you hear Obama condemn the murder of #DelbertBelton? of course not, he didn't say anything about it b/c victim was an old white man," noted one user. The Times has more.
