The badly decomposed body of a woman found yesterday in a Chicago industrial lot is not Stacy Peterson, reports the Chicago Tribune, the suburban mom whose husband, Drew, is suspected in her October disappearance. Officials also determined that the body was not another area housewife, Lisa Stebic, missing since April. The corpse had stab wounds, and police are treating the case as a homicide.

"It's not Stacy. I can guarantee you that," Drew Peterson's lawyer had told CNN. Chicago police described the body as that of a white female with light reddish blond hair. Police do not know how long the still-unidentified body had been in the lot, about 20 miles from the Petersons' home, before it was found, CNN reports. (More Stacy Peterson stories.)
