Jon Gosselin had to pay the bills somehow after his marriage, and thus his reality show career, imploded ... so he's currently waiting tables at a Pennsylvania restaurant. "At first I was nervous because I was like, 'How are people going to react?'" Gosselin tells ETOnline. "But then I'm thinking, 'Well it's fun and I get to talk to people.' And they technically already know me ... they're like 'Are you the guy?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm the guy.'" How did he get into the restaurant biz, considering he used to work in computers? It was almost "impossible" for him to find a job after he became constant tabloid fodder, he explains, though he insists he's not struggling to make ends meet.
He also lives in a cabin in the woods ... with no Internet or TV. But in spite of everything, "I don't regret anything," including agreeing to the stint on Jon & Kate Plus Eight, he says. "You learn from your mistakes." In related news, Gosselin wants ex-wife Kate's lawsuit against him dismissed, Celebuzz reports. Kate says Jon hacked her phone and stole her computer hard drive, but in a motion to dismiss filed yesterday, Jon claims he bought the computer and destroyed the failing hard drive after putting all the documents on DVDs he gave to Kate after she filed for divorce. "It is far more plausible that Kate herself threw out the DVDs in the trash," the documents state. (More Jon and Kate Plus 8 stories.)
