Tina Fey returned to her old stomping grounds last night to kick off the new season of Saturday Night Live, but it's a cameo from Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul that has tongues wagging this morning. Paul appeared in the Cold Open, notes the Hollywood Reporter, as Jay Pharoah's President Obama touted the benefits of ObamaCare. Appearing as Jesse Pinkman, Paul recounted the story of a "friend" who got "sick. Like, cancer sick. But because there wasn’t ObamaCare , he couldn’t afford treatments. So, he did what any of us would have done. He started cooking meth. And soon it wasn’t just meth. It was murder. And not regular murder. Like—he blew half a guy’s face off.”

Paul also stuck around for a skit on "E-meth" (the Breaking Bad finale is tonight). But despite Fey's presence, "without Paul, the season opener would have been pretty forgettable," writes Aaron Couch for the Reporter. The show debuted six newcomers to take the places of Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Jason Sudeikis. (Read more Saturday Night Live stories.)
