Foreign Pro Liz Cheney Joins Romney Campaign

GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s campaign got an injection of foreign policy expertise yesterday from the vice president’s daughter. Liz Cheney, a State Department official responsible for Mideastern and North African initiatives, will be Romney's senior foreign policy adviser, FOX News reports. Cheney had been a co-chair of Fred Thompson’s failed campaign. Romney, meanwhile, joined the scramble in Florida ahead of tomorrow's important primary.

Despite the high-stakes, high-tension race, many candidates opted for a more casual tone. The usually uptight Romney shucked his starched blue suit, donning a long-sleeved guayabera at a Cuban-American event. And Mike Huckabee ribbed the former Massachusetts governor for peeling the skin off his fried chicken. “If you’re not gonna eat the skin, don’t bother calling it fried chicken,” Huckabee quipped.
