The Coen brothers' powerfully bleak No Country for Old Men captured the honor for best film and best supporting actor huzzahs for Javier Bardem at the Screen Actors Guild's awards ceremony last night. And in a surprise win, stars James Gandolfini and Edie Falco of the now-defunct HBO hit series "The Sopranos" both grabbed best actor honors. "This was so not supposed to happen," quipped Falco.

The mob saga crew won the award for best ensemble acting in a dramatic series. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin from "30 Rock" and the ensemble from "The Office" captured TV comedy awards. Julie Christie nailed the top actor award for Away from Her, and Daniel Day-Lewis was named best leading actor in a male role for There Will Be Blood and dedicated his award to Heath Ledger. "I admired him very much," he said in a moving acceptance speech. (More Screen Actors Guild stories.)
