This week's batch of unusual crimes involve some partying teens, an irresponsible groom, and an overly ambitious pot farmer:

  1. Parents Have Their Party-Throwing Kids Arrested: It was just like something out of a TV show, at least at first: Two Connecticut parents returned home from a trip a day early to find their teenage daughters hosting a party at their Glastonbury house. But here's where it diverges a bit from the script.
  2. Boy, 13, With Replica Gun Shot Dead by Deputies: A 13-year-old boy in Santa Rosa, California, is dead after deputies mistook the replica assault rifle he was carrying for the real thing.

  1. Groom Forgets to Book Venue, Freaks, Calls in Bomb Threat: The day before he was supposed to get married in Liverpool's St. George's Hall, Neil McCardle realized he had forgotten to actually book the place. He sat on this nugget of information until the next day—his wedding day—then came up with an ill-advised solution.
  2. Police Cuff Black Teen for Buying Pricey Belt: A New York City teen says police cuffed him and hauled him down to the station for questioning because a Barneys clerk assumed that a young black man could not possibly afford the expensive belt he'd just bought. One day later, a black woman said the same thing happened to her.
  3. Cops Bust Pot Garden ... Using Google Earth: Oregon authorities received a tip that 50-year-old Curtis W. Croft was bragging about all the pot he was growing on his property. So investigators went to Google Earth to find out what they could see.
