Colin Jost will take Seth Meyers' place at the "Weekend Update" desk, NBC announced today.   (Colin Jost)

Saturday Night Live has found the guy who will take Seth Meyers' place at the "Weekend Update" desk: Colin Jost, a relative unknown who has been a writer at the show since 2005 and head writer since 2012, will join Cecily Strong as co-anchor when Meyers moves over to Late Night. Jost is a Harvard grad with a Peabody Award, eight Emmy nominations, and three WGA Awards to his resume, notes the Hollywood Reporter. His first night is March 1. (More Colin Jost stories.)
